About Pennsylvania State University, Harrisburg

Pennsylvania State University, Harrisburg also called The Capital College, is an undergraduate college and graduate school of the Pennsylvania State University, located in Middletown, which is a borough in Dauphin County, in the US state of Pennsylvania, situated 9 miles southeast of Harrisburg, with more than 9000 people, living within its limits, at the time of the 2000 census.

The Capital College was established in 1966 and presently offers its students two associate, 32 baccalaureate, 23 master's, and three doctoral programs, as well as certificate and certification programs, and, at the undergraduate level, also offers the first two years of study leading to more than 160 baccalaureate majors available throughout the Penn State system, including 31 of its own programs.

Athletics

Penn State Harrisburg's athletic teams are known as the Penn State Harrisburg Nittany Lions, and they compete in NCAA division III and the NEAC (North Eastern Athletic Conference).
